OK, guys. I’m sure you guys heard of those “Top 400 Forbes” or “Top 10 Best Cars” or whatever. In this post, I am going to list out top 10 internet marketers who I think are rocking the internet marketing space in 2009. I know 2009 is not over yet, but we just want to make this post to get some “excitements” around. We came out with this list based on product launches and we listed marketers who are selling stuff to other marketers in the internet marketing business.
Okay, without further adieu, let’s get started.
1. Frank Kern
Mr. Mass Control tops the list this time. Two launches for Mass Control, one upsell launch for Mass Control and a shocking launch for Screw Google System.
Frank Kern, usually the “behind-the-scene” mastermind, has becoming extremely noisy this year with this year’s early “Sneak Attack” pre-launch video where he tried to ambush John Reese (only to get pounced by John in the end).
2. Anik Singal
BusinessWeek’s Best Entrepreneur Under-25, Anik Singal has risen up to be a “guru” in 2009 after teaming up with Mike Filsaime for The Launch Tree launch. Anik has manage to manage 4 launches so far — Launch Tree, Affiliate Classroom, PPC Classroom 2.0 and the upcoming PPC Classroom 3.0 and that is pretty amazing for Anik.
3. Adeel Chowdhry & Bobby Walker
This deadly pair is the fastest rising stock in the internet marketing business. Adeel and Bobby started to make names for themselves with a competitive summer launch of Mass Article Control, almost raking in $1 mil. in gross sales.
Weeks later, Adeel and Bobby launched MySoftwareBusiness in just a matter of a week or so — with both MassArticleControl and MySoftwareBusiness hitting the first page of ClickBank’s marketplace.
4. Saj P.
Creator of multiple ClickBank bestsellers, Saj P. has been a rockstar in 2009 — releasing multiple product launches such as the still-bestselling Zero Friction Marketing course and the upcoming Commission Payload.
He is also the creator behind The Site Rush, Affiliate Funnel System and many other launches. Saj P. has gain a name for himself in the internet marketing industry due to his multiple bestselling launches and has already been labeled as a “guru”.
5. Mike Filsaime
Mike Filsaime, a viral marketing guru, shocked the internet marketing space by announcing that he will be giving away his thousand dollar Butterfly Marketing package for absolutely free in early 2009. That’s not all, he also launched Launch Tree together with Anik Singal to produce perhaps the most viral product launch in the history of internet marketing.
Perhaps the most shocking thing is that Mike Filsaime also launched AffiliateJump CPA network in mid-2009. He will be launching TweetGlide — which is an application for Twitter users very soon.
6. Adam Short & Alen Sultanic
Both Adam and Alen might not be “gurus” — but both of them have proven to the internet that you don’t need to be a “guru” to deliver great content. Already being called “niche marketing gurus” — Adam and Alen made a shocking revolution to the internet marketing space by setting up the one and only PERFECT niche marketing membership site on the internet.
During a relaunch in early 2009, they offered a $1 trial for 7 days — which shocked the internet marketing community.
7. Jeff Walker
Jeff Walker’s biggest contribution to the internet marketing space in 2009 is probably “Product Launch Manager”. In mid-2009, Jeff Walker was training a bunch of highly talented product launch managers — and charged $25,000 each to attend the seminar in Los Angeles.
Jeff also launched Product Launch Formula 2.2+ in early 2009 which literally increase the number of people demanding for the online study course.
8. Justin & Chaunna Brooke
King and Queen of the site flipping industry, Justin and Chaunna Brooke changed the way most marketers look at site flipping. From the 30 Day Protege to WebsiteFlippingMasters Home Study Course launch, Justin and Chaunna have been sending ripple waves all over the internet marketing that they are no small marketers.
Their Tuesday Twenty Tackle live shows have been something unique and a refreshing way to look at internet marketing. This lovely couple is also most generous in terms of giving out free information.
9. Gauher Chaudhry
Gauher is by far, the most underrated “guru” ever. This pay-per-click and pay-per-view expert is the creator of PPC Formula and PPV Formula — both sold out during their respective product launches almost immediately.
Gauher might not have the same level of fame as other “gurus” outside of the PPC game — but he does provide the best content and by far, the best PPC guru out there. In 2009 alone, he launched PPC Formula 2.0 and then closed it down to be relaunch later. He also launched PPV Formula 2.0 recently.
10. YOU DECIDE!
After brainstorming for possible prospects for the #10 spot, we couldn’t find one that should be #10. The top 9 is way too powerful to be beaten down by a good marketer. This marketer needs to be excellent and on par with these marketers.
Here’s what you can do.
Simple drop a comment to tell me who should be in the #10 spot. A random winner will be chosen and I will award him/her with one of my affiliate website as well as a 14 day coaching class with me worth $497.
Here’s a list of candidates that you can choose from:
- Cindy Battye & Soren Jordansen (Creators of ClickBank Pirate)
- Tim Godfrey & Steve Clayton (Creators of Commission Blueprint 2)
- George Brown (Creator of Google Sniper)
- Chris Fox (Creator of Google Cash Sniper)
- Mark Ling (Creator of Affilioblueprint)
Cheers and please re-tweet this post if you like it.

Thanks for the feedback.
I got lots of comments about this and seems like # 10 is pretty much going to be either George Brown, Cindy & Soren or Mark Ling.

Hey Desmond, to my opinion those two guys should take the 10th spot: Tim Godfrey & Steve Clayton
I am judging mostly by quality of their products and the value they provide.

Yeah but some people were pretty disappointed with the new Commission Blueprint 2.0 because the first version was so good.

My personal choice is Mark Ling. He is one of my favorite marketers, due to his non hypey way of teaching others his personal methods.

My vote to Tim Godfrey & Steve Clayton. I think their Commission Blueprint was really great. Their business model is straight to the point but yet powerful. With a single “blueprint” launch with great impact, they were then expanded their product line by adding other “blueprints”. Niche Blueprint and SEM Blueprint are definitely high quality products too.

I’d have to vote for Russell Brunson to also be on this list, while he did have some customer support issues he has done a 3 of the biggest launches this year – at least the size of any one else on this list and some more.

Yeah Justin I considered putting Russell in but he does have some customer support issues.
From our point of views, customer support is a very important factor in a business and that’s why we decided to pick some “new guys” in town.

My vote definitely goes to Tim Godfrey & Steven Clayton. Outstanding guys who put out some of the highest quality products in the industry (not to mention, they are fanatical about customer support)

I have learnt a lot from a fellow Malaysian by the name of Suthan M .. While he is not as glittering as those other names, his product is always top notch and one of a kind in the market.
Other than that, Frank Kern is also my kind of guy with his Mass Control. His launch was extraorodinary well executed, and one of a kind.

You said you were going to give the Top Ten of the good, the bad and the ugly. You only gave the good. The bad and the ugly of this business is the awful client support by many companies. One of the companies I contacted should be charged with fraud.
My votes for worst of the worst go to Rob Benwell and Paul Birdsall.
Hidden charges and misleading advertising are two of my pet peeves. We need a Better Business Bureau for this industry. Good companies are going to suffer from this corruption as well. 100% guarantee won’t matter if the bad companies don’t honour that commitment.

Well, most of the marketers that I listed do provide great support. (I think)
I have not buy any of Rob and Paul’s stuff yet so I don’t know but misleading ads and hidden charges are definitely a no-no for me.

Very interesting topic so here are my picks on who else should have been considered and are not there:
George Brown is a pick I definately agree with as “Google Sniper” was a rage for awile but here are the others:
Melvin@Concetta
Michael Cheney
Michael Jones with the “Clickbank Code”
Lee McIntyre because he is on the backend of 33% of the emails I get.
There are others but this will do for now.
