Internet Marketing

DesmondBlog.com is started on 8th of August 2008 and long before I set up this blog, I used to own another ‘make money online’ blog over at Grade Money (which I’ve sold).

Now, during the period when I was managing the blog — blogging for dollars through one flagship blog is extremely popular. Everyone literally wants to be the next John Chow or Shoemoney.

While there was so much hype around this idea, I played around with my old blog with a social media that was fairly new back then. There was Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit and a few other big social media — but I decided to test my experiments with StumbleUpon.

And the results of my experiments were phenomena. During the first test, I got about 70,000 hits from StumbleUpon alone. That’s right 70,000!

And in the second test which I conducted about a month later, I use the same type of content in the first test (different content though) and I received close to 100,000 hits from StumbleUpon. Because of this, my blog grew and everything else raises — from the PageRank to Alexa ranking.

So, you might be wondering: How the heck I did that?

It’s simple. You just need to provide good solid contents that EVERYBODY can understand. For the tests, I posted about “Top XX People Who Changed the Internet”.

Get the idea? Cool? Cool.

Thanks mate but I’m not interested to do any service.

But trust me, those traffic are worthless. They come and go. Great for AdSense though.
